What is Hooliefest!Hooliefest! is a new one day music festival put on by the guys who put on the Sonora Celtic Faire. We wanted to do something different from the Celtic Faire and we thought a concert would be just the thing. We chose September since that's 6 months after the last Celtic Faire and 6 months before the next one. Then we were hanging out one night with some of the guys from the Dark Boar Vikings, and decided it would be cool if they came along as well. Thus was born the Hooliefest music festival, and Viking Gathering. The festival has a mix of sounds, with some Celtic music from Brother and Culann's Hounds, good time Rock 'n Roll from Crazy Ivan, the Cajun sounds of Mumbo Gumbo, our local favorites the Black Irish Band, and techno electronica with Sonic Impulse. Dark Boar Vikings will be there with a viking gathering. The festival will be ringed with their encampments and they'll be throwing spears and hammers and doing other viking things. Thomas Wood, the pyrojuggler will be entertaining as well. He's great, check this out on youtube. And there will be vendors, along with anything else we think is cool.
