Mumbo Gumbo is a free-range grown-from-the-ground-up band of seven Northern California music makers whose melding of diverse styles and grooves continues to draw both booty-shakers and more sedentary, yet equally rabid, live music lovers. An extremely infectious Gulf Coast influenced 7-piece band featuring two great women singers--one who plays a mean washboard--, plus a sprightly accordionist, and a sure-footed and funky rhythm section.
